While you wait

Things worth doing right now

If it is safe to do so. Nothing here is worth getting hurt over.

  • Shut the water off at the main if water is actively running. It is usually near the front hose bib, at the meter by the street, or in the garage.
  • For a leaking water heater, close the valve on the cold inlet at the top of the tank.
  • If you smell gas, leave the building first and call the gas company from outside. Do not flip any switches.
  • Take photos before you move anything. Insurance claims turn on what the damage looked like before cleanup started.
  • Lift what you can off wet flooring, especially anything with legs that can stain carpet.
  • Stay out of standing water if there is any chance it is touching electrical.

Before you call

Common questions

What counts as an emergency?

Active water coming into the house, a sewer backup, no water at all, a gas smell, or fire damage. If you are asking yourself whether it can wait until morning, call and we will tell you.

Do you charge to come look?

Call and ask about your specific situation. We will tell you what a visit involves before we send anyone, rather than surprising you at the door.

What information should I have ready?

The address, what is happening right now, when it started, and whether you have been able to shut anything off. Photos help if you can safely take them.

How far do you travel?

We are based in Perris and work across Riverside County. If you are not sure whether you are in range, call and ask.
